For those customers who prefer to deal with BTU measurements, the SP2065 meter can be switched into BTU mode as well, to measure incident solar energy. Simply press the red toggle button and you now have two meters in one. This meter can even be used to measure approximate Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC) values for windows. Even more importantly, the SP2065 can be used to identify types of Low E coatings in the field. By knowing the performance of specific coatings, the user can identify the type of coating, and perhaps even the manufacturer of the coating. Uses one standard 9 VDC battery (included).
